Aalwar is a 2019 Indian Malayalam-language film written and directed by Vasudevan. The film stars Varun, Vinitha Koshy, Bindu Madhavi, and Saritha in the lead roles. The movie tells the story of Aditya (Varun), who left his family to study in the US after his father's death. He returns to India to see his mother's condition after she fell into coma following mental breakdowns. Global Tamil Film Production & Distribution Limited who purchased the film rights for Tamil version has planned to determine whether to remove scenes from Malayalam version or to include scenes in Tamil version only.
